HEE HAW HUGS AT THE CARNIVAL

Hee Haw,
I uploaded nearly 80 images of folks enjoying the donkey booth at the 2009 Carnival.

If you would like to look for your image then click HERE
and you should be able to find and view your photo.

We had fun, and so did Violet, even after having her picture took over a hundred times

Feedme Papa

I have never seen the male Redwing display this kind of activity, but for a week now, the young have been following this male about the yard, squawking for the worms he's finding. Change seems to be a constant, even in my wildlife observations

First Trout of the Season

McKenzie caught this with her SpongeBob fishing pole....
Must have been a three pounder, we released it. I hope it lives to be caught another day.
We have not stocked our pond in three years, but I got a feeling lots of big ones sit at the bottom
of Bacon Lake!!

It had Roe, or a couple of eggs dropped out of it. Now if we had a male fish, we could possibly hatch our own, with the right combination of gravel, and running water!

Oh what a catch!!

Kenzie got quite excited, and neighbor Rio, was over to help real her in!!!

HOG GARDEN

Last year we started our second garden here.

This year we continue to ammend our clay like soil!

We have a mantis tiller, that rocks, and dislodges rocks.
We are using the plastic deer fencing for now, but hopefully will make the entire back yard area deer free in the days to come!
